Murals, Project Space:

The mural knowledges how such symbolisim is contained in Chicano murals in the works of muralist Levi Ponce and Kristy Sandoval  (Pacoima's Mural Mile on Van Nuys Blvd., amongst many others).

Write 3-4 page essay, choose a single image contained in a Chicano mural and explain to the reader how the image goes well beyond the physical depiction. (You don't need to explain an entire mural!) 

Explain your image using the critirea above. (include a photo of your image) Provide an appropriate works cited page for outside information discovered. (wikipedia will be accepted as a resource for this project.
